Lugano is where Volopark is built, and parking here is shaped by the same geography that shapes the city itself — compact lake front, steep climbs, narrow peninsula. The lungolago, the Old Town, the university district, and the CFF station all have very limited public capacity, and most of the surrounding hills (Castagnola, Bre, Aldesago, Brè) are effectively impossible to reach without a private space. Volopark started in Lugano and remains the easiest place to find a host on the platform. Drivers send a request with the dates and rate type, the host accepts or declines within 24 hours, the driver pays via PayPal within 24 hours of acceptance, and the host receives the payout approximately 24 hours after the rental starts. Prices are in CHF, the platform fee is 12% deducted from the host payout.
